How to find us
Lakeside Buildings is easy to find in Marsden if you follow these instructions and best of all, there’s a FREE car park!!! Give the shop a ring first before travelling miles – Si can discuss your needs and make sure we have the right product and services in place when you arrive.
By road: From the A62, turn into the main shopping street of Marsden which is called Peel Street. Go past all the shops and as soon as you cross the River Colne just after the famous Riverhead Tap pub, turn right onto Warehouse Hill Road. Drive for about 300 metres with the mill on your right and take the first right down a small service road to the back of the mill where there’s a carpark in front of you. A group of buildings is directly ahead and Mountainfeet is the first one on the left next to two nursery schools. See the detailed interactive map below to plan your journey from further afield.
By rail: Marsden is well served by an excellent main line service which links it efficiently with Manchester and Huddersfield. On alighting at the station, walk down the hill into the village and just before the river bridge but after the Swan pub, turn left into Warehouse Hill Road and then first right down to the back of the mill as described above. By bus: The 184 bus route links Huddersfield and Oldham town centres with Marsden. For a First Bus journey planner, click here.
See the map below for exact details of where Mountainfeet is – if you have a Sat Nav system then input HD7 6AE to find the shop. Your Sat Nav might bring you in down Brougham Road and down a small road at the back of the mill – that’s absolutely fine as you’ll end up at the same place!
PLEASE NOTE: Just be a little careful if travelling from North of Marsden using a Sat Nav. Because they often use the shortest route, you are quite likely to be directed through the network of small lanes above the village which are very narrow and not for the faint hearted. Much better to head for either Huddersfield to the East or Oldham to the West of us where you can pick up the A62 that leads direct to Marsden.
